How we report nicotine-pouch news

PouchDaily covers new developments in nicotine pouches, regulation, science, companies and the communities around the category. We aim to be quick, but not careless.

What counts as news

Most news coverage starts with a recent development. Older material belongs in a clearly labelled explainer unless a new decision, result or event makes it relevant again. A newly written article does not make an old event new.

Sources

We prefer regulators, government documents, peer-reviewed research, universities, company investor-relations pages and official manufacturer announcements. Established media and approved trade publications can provide reporting and context.

Competitor retailer blogs and product-review sites are not used as PouchDaily sources. We do not send readers to them for authority or visibility.

Health and regulation

We separate what a source says from what the evidence proves. Studies are described with their methods and limitations where relevant. Regulatory proposals are not laws, and a company statement is identified as a company statement.

Originality and updates

We do not turn the same launch into several articles by changing the headline. A later product, market, earnings or regulatory development can justify a new story when it adds genuinely new information.

Corrections

If we get a material fact wrong, we correct the article and explain the change. Send corrections and source material to desk@pouchdaily.com.
