VELO put a music festival on its nicotine pouches

British American Tobacco's flagship nicotine-pouch brand VELO has launched a limited-edition Mango Ice pouch in packaging licensed from Tomorrowland, the Belgian electronic-dance-music festival. It's the clearest example yet of pouch brands borrowing the festival-merch playbook to stand out on a crowded shelf.

British American Tobacco's flagship nicotine-pouch brand VELO has launched a limited-edition pouch in packaging licensed from Tomorrowland — the Belgian electronic-dance-music festival. It is the clearest sign yet that the pouch category is competing on brand identity and cultural partnerships, not just nicotine strength and flavor.

The VELO Tomorrowland Limited Edition 2026 is a single-flavor release: Mango Ice, sold in 4mg and 8mg nicotine strengths, in Mini and Slim pouch formats. On VELO's UK store it lists at from £5.00; on the Ireland store, €5.50, in 15- or 20-pouch cans. The cans carry the words "Official Tomorrowland Partner," and the artwork borrows Tomorrowland's fantasy aesthetic — art-nouveau-style curves and nature-inspired patterns.

What's actually new here

Plenty of nicotine-pouch brands run limited-edition flavors. What makes this one different is the licensing deal behind it: VELO paid to put a music festival's visual identity on the can. Tomorrowland is one of the most recognizable brands in global electronic music, founded in Belgium and now a franchise that spans editions across continents. Putting it on a nicotine pouch turns the product into a collectible tied to a cultural event — the same merchandising logic that energy drinks, apparel, and now pouches are adopting.

It also points at where the category's competition is heading. With pouch shelves getting crowded — PMI's Zyn, Altria's On! Plus, VELO, FRE, LOOP, and a long tail of challenger brands — differentiation by milligrams-per-pouch has a ceiling. Brand partnerships, design, and lifestyle positioning are the next layer.

Where it's on sale

The Tomorrowland edition is live on VELO's own UK and Ireland online stores. Trade reporting from 2firsts says the SKU has appeared across multiple European online platforms, with Haypp UK listing related inventory with a "Coming soon" status. Availability still depends on local regulation — VELO is sold in 49 markets, but not every market stocks the limited edition.

Why it matters for the category

VELO is BAT's leading "modern oral" nicotine-pouch brand, launched in 2018 and now sold in 49 markets. A limited-edition festival collab from the category's largest player is a signal, not a one-off: it tells retailers and investors that pouch brands are willing to spend licensing money to make a pouch feel like lifestyle merchandise.

The open question is whether rivals follow. Zyn has leaned on scarcity and social virality rather than partnerships; Altria's On! Plus is expanding nationwide on distribution. If the Tomorrowland cans sell through, expect more pouch brands shopping for festival, sports, or creator-IP deals of their own.
